Replay of the conference for IEBA, on April 2nd, 2020. 30′ conference + Q&A.
While the far-reaching effects of the greatest pandemic of our time is still being quantified, many of us are struggling to adjust our lives: living in confinement, homeschooling our children, calculating how long we can support ourselves financially in this new reality. We are in survivor mode, and in generally good spirits and with solidarity.
What will be our mood when we are able to return to « business as usual »? Happiness, to be able to see our friends, family and colleagues, or maybe fear of being laid off? There will also be something more subtle but very present: different expectations. A large percentage of the population will have had time to reflect on what is really important, which has been blurred in our race to meet our business targets and complete everything in our busy agendas. Our fundamental and universal human needs: health, safety, balance/wellbeing, respect, access to knowledge, inclusion and carrying out meaningful projects.
Are these fundamental needs being met in the workplace? Does the company contribute to a healthy and safe environment? Does it contribute to overconsumption or detriment to the environment? Will employees be able to find meaning in their work and dedicate time to tackling our world issues that are putting at risk these fundamental needs?
Gwenola Bliek, Ethical Leadership consultant at her company INFUSETHIC, will provide insights, questions to ask yourself and your teams, some ideas and tools to help construct responses and accompany employees who will challenge the « business as usual » model. She will look at facilitating constructive transformation to respond to our common needs.
